Love it. I was trying to find a way to add a pre-filter sponge to my Eheim Classics that would be turtle proof. Typical sponge filters do not work. Then I came across these and voila! these works. I have two, one on the Classic 2217 and one on the Classic 2215. Tank maintenance made easy. Just take a plastic bag, wrap the filter in a bag, remove the hose with water from the tank and take it out of the tank for cleaning. Any dirt that falls out ends up in the bag instead of in the tank. Learned this the hard way. I take turns cleaning them weekly. My turtle tank has stayed so clean throughout use that it is easy to maintain. Now I only have to clean the canisters about every six months. I have them in a 50 gallon red eared turtle tank that has two 2.5-3 inch turtles. Use of Classic Filter 2217 and Classic Filter 2215. Pre-filter definitely recommended. Each is about the size of a can of lemonade.
