Much more than I expected and frankly more than I would use. It was pretty easy to understand without many instructions. I believe the only temperature setting is DEPTHS OF HELL, HOT, although there is a dial to control the temperature. I had the lowest settings for everything I did. From time to time I noticed that some parts came loose during work. I had to tighten it several times with pliers. It came with small pieces of wood and I used them to test out a design or two before starting my project. To be honest I only bought this for one project never to use again but because it was so easy I may do more projects with it in the future. Ideal for beginners or even those with advanced wood burning skills.
