I know that the buckles on cat collars are made in such a way that they can be easily undone so that the cat can free itself if its collar gets caught somewhere. But most work too easily, sometimes accidentally, even if the cat just hits it with its paw. If you have an indoor/outdoor cat (and what's the point of a collar if your cat just stays indoors), that means a new collar needs to be changed about every week or so. Not this one. In fact, you can adjust the stiffness of the buckle, and when set to its strongest position, it cannot accidentally work. Instead of weeks, this collar lasts months and only loses it if actually caught.
