Whine right out of the box.
Looks good but howls loudly like an aftermarket radio on first start but straight from the alternator. I don't have any spare parts for my car either. Tried to loosen it several times, tried tightening the strap to no avail. Whistling is present throughout the rev range. In my experience, the alternator is defective. I also don't know how to contact the seller and since my old alternator completely burned out I went with this one. I hope he dies near the house.
