I was pleasantly surprised at how well this pin vise and miniature table vise combo worked for what I needed them for, which was drilling tiny holes in the tips. Rubber end caps. A vise will hold the lids tight and straight (thanks to round fasteners that screw into the tops of the jaws), but a pin vise works well. The only obvious room for improvement is to improve the bearing between the top of the pin vise (where it makes contact with your palm) and the rest of the body. The rotation is not very smooth under pressure, which can be annoying under certain circumstances. However, I am very happy with this purchase.
