Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced BLTouch Leveling Mainboard by Creality by Tim Hull

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This can solve many problems but not all problems

This is my second BLTouch. My first was for a Delta printer (AnyCubic Kossel) and this one was specifically for the Creality Ender 5 Pro. The Delta has been a mess since the first day I bought it and I've tried adding BL Touch to fix the problem but have never been able to get consistently good prints. The Ender 5 Pro was a workhorse from day one. After minimal manual bed leveling, I was able to get very consistent prints. The BL Touch, while convenient, wasn't as beneficial as my other Delta printer. That doesn't mean it's useless because it is. Setup is fairly easy, the only difficulty is that you flash a firmware update to the printer. The wiring is weird, but just follow the instructions and you'll get there. Once installed you have 1 setup procedure to follow to determine the Z offset for the BL Tough pin. Once that's done, simply add an alignment routine to your slicer and you're good to go. You will need to repeat the manual Z shift steps if you change the printhead in any way, e.g. B. changing the nozzle, or even just removing the nozzle as this can and probably will change the nozzle height. out of bed Once the firmware is installed, it performs an alignment process before each print. Overall it's more of what I would call a "luxury item" for Ender printers as the alignment process wasn't really complicated. the first place. And again, it won't fix "everything". For example, I still have some height in one of the corners. It's SUPER small, but you can see when the print head reaches that angle, it pushes into the bed a little more.
