I originally gave this set 5 stars because it worked so well. After a few months of use, I realized I made a terrible mistake ordering these knives. I say nothing different than other 1 star reviews. These knives are so cheap they bend almost as much as aluminum foil. I once used the tip of a paring knife to dig holes in a frozen turkey pie to let air out, and the tip of this knife bent into a "U" shape. I didn't pierce or apply force like other knives, I just make a twisting motion to create a hole. I have NEVER had a problem with any other knife like this stamped scrap metal. As I was just saying, as far as I can see these knives are forged or hardened and they bend so easily. I wish I could send them back, but I've had them for too long. I won't even give them to charity, I throw them away except for the bread knife. I'm pretty sure I'll throw that out too if I'm trying to shred up hearty baker's rye. In short, avoid these terrible knives at all costs.
