I love short point hat pins and not all brands carry them. These Knitters Pride Short End Needles are made from hardwood with a very smooth finish making them perfect for any knitting project! I like their feel compared to other brands and materials. When knitting, I only use natural materials such as wood and bamboo. I don't like the cold feel of metal spokes so keep that in mind when you check my review. To me, there's a warmth and control you get with hardwood knitting needles that you just don't get with metal needles. However, wood is not worth saving; You need good hardwood with a great finish, to get a smooth interface with your yarn. In the end you have to decide whether the extra price compared to other circular knitting needles is worth it. For me they definitely are. Have fun knitting!
