Review on Wilton 21036 Sledge Hammer Unbreakable: Unmatched Durability and Reliability by Lild Zimmerly

Great log splitting tool

I heat my house with wood in winter, so I need a lot of firewood cords every year. I do all the work by hand without using a log splitter. Riving knives, those beautiful sledgehammers, and my trusty piercing sledgehammer. I speared about 20 logs this year, which is quite a lot. Most wood I split is 15-30 inch rounds and almost everything needs to be cut in half with a sledgehammer and wedges. It's all hardwood (oak etc) so the BASH sled gets a lot of use. I have more than tested it and it will last for many years to come. The grip is in great shape (not too many misses) - and the head is very tight, like new out of the box. So all in all a great product and I would recommend it. Fairly pricey but I happily buy once, cry once. And a final note is that the head weighs 10 pounds, but the handle adds a bit of decent weight since it contains steel rods. So it will probably weigh more than you think. But hey, I'd rather have a product that stands the test of time than buying pens every year or so. .
