This was a Christmas present for anyone who loves Caran d'Ache pencils. She started with pencils that were in a tin can. She guards it like a treasure. Since she needed new pens I bought her so she would have a nice box that matched the quality of the pens. I was shocked on Christmas day when she opened her gift and fell in love with it. She opened the wooden box and found that the left hinge was broken, as well as a wooden tray that was attached to the top. All the excitement and joy just left the room. I was a bad parent for not checking the gift before wrapping it. But Caran d'Ache disappointed me with its quality. In an attempt to rectify the situation, I went online, bought a second one and quickly sent it off. It was the same with the second. The left hinge is broken, the wooden tray on the left is broken. Caran d'Ache pencils are first class. However, save money and buy tin boxes instead of wooden boxes.
