I really like that it has a base instead of a clamp. It also seems smaller than other clip models which I prefer. The only thing I don't particularly like is that the bar doesn't fit into the base very well. He just seems to be sitting on it and not fully inserted. I've knocked it out of base many times, which worries me about how long my expensive mic will last. I might try hammering the top of the arm so it goes deeper into the base and doesn't fall out, I just prefer not to mess up the curve of the arm. I think as long as you don't move it and hit it, it's a very good mic stand.
