Aren't fuel filters supposed to dissolve in gasoline?
I really expected the fuel filter not to melt after only two weeks of use. It was changed again because the boat has been standing for some time. I expected the tank to get dirty and planned to change the filter often for a while (bought 5). Now I hope that meltdown didn't let too much dirt into the injectors. Now I know why OEM filters are more expensive, I would buy real mercury filters first but they were available quicker.
