I really don't understand the bad reviews on this product. The clamp fitted the hole perfectly and clamped my kitchen island perfectly. The counter worked like magic and saved me countless hours as I needed 56 individual 92ft butterflies. You will need to adjust the tension knob for the weight of your yarn, and you will need to pull the yarn a little with one hand while pulling it through with the other hand. but all this is described in the manual. If you're looking for a cheap meter that works reasonably well, don't let the bad reviews put you off.
