The photo we posted was taken after 2 minutes of cleaning our small media room. What's shocking is that it's been less than a week since we had our carpets professionally cleaned and they already looked and felt as clean as the day we installed them "before" Shark drove over her. I ONLY assembled this thing and showed my wife how it works, easy to understand without looking at the instructions (it's easy to assemble and understand and I'm not that smart guy. whole heart, brain - doubtful ). We just wanted to hear how it sounded and didn't plan on using it tonight until we'd looked at the canister. Had our cleaner not sent us a picture of all the crap he pulled out of our carpets and left feeling damp afterward we would have asked for our money back after seeing it tonight. I have nothing in the last 10 years to compare this to but oh my god it picks up dirt and pet hair! My 9 year old was even shocked by the dirt and hair we removed. I think this is a game changer with my wife's asthma and our rug LOOKS AMAZING! I'm an idiot if I don't upgrade sooner and don't realize that dust 'doesn't' come out of a vacuum cleaner filter when it's in use! who knew Well, it only lasted 10-20 years. never mind I love this thing!
