I needed a tiny padlock to secure my back gate. I didn't need something strong enough to prevent intrusion, just something to let people know that this gate was not meant to be opened. I've used the lock on my open fence for several weeks without touching it. After weeks of rain and incredibly hot sun, the locks were stuck and would not turn. It took some time to unscrew, and having successfully picked the weather-worn lock, it now won't close. Luckily there were 4 in the box so I only have 1 but I definitely won't be using it outdoors or I think they should recommend it to others for outdoor use.
