When my son and I first opened this box it seemed a bit complicated at first, but after reading and following the instructions everything was assembled in about an hour. The camera took a little longer to work, but re-read the instructions and we were able to get it working. The picture is clear enough that you can see what's in front of you, and tape on the floor really helps. If we hold a magazine in front of it, some of the small letters will be a little blurry, but the larger letters will be legible. The tires on it can ride over our tile and hardwood floors with ease, but we tested this to see if it would go over carpet and it worked with no issues. In one room we have floors that range from wood to thick carpet and again he was able to get over the hump with no problems. We have animals so fur can get on the tires but they can be rubbed off easily. My son attends the school's robotics club and since they can only meet virtually, he really enjoyed being able to do at home what he would do at school.
