This funnel is used to fill radiators. However, I bought it for the kitchen. The hole can be 3/4 inch in diameter, not tiny at all. We grow our own popcorn and once it's cleaned and dried it needs to be placed in storage containers. The containers I use have an opening of about 1 inch. We've tried using our small household funnels, but the popcorn just clogs them. This wide funnel is perfect! So if you're pumping something larger like rice, beans, popcorn, etc., this is the funnel you need.
