This year we decided to get rid of all our Teflon pots and pans after watching a real life movie about the health risks of C8 chemicals used to make non-stick cookware. Also, they've never gone as far as no N-Stick or a simple clean. And it turned on after doing the PREHARDING that is necessary but hidden in the instructions. This CERAMIC/STONE option was interesting and as we were buying everything new and there was no C8 code in the specs we considered safety and toxin prevention. Goal #1 these days, no easy cleanup or non-stick coating. BUT. I decided to heat up a skillet, crack an egg in it (no butter, no squirts, no butter) and see what happens. The fried egg, the scrambled egg, the cheese scrambled egg, everything spun around in the pan as you see it on TV - I'm amazed this is actually possible and true after all these years of watching but never realizing it. The pots are wiped down with a towel (we still use soap and water because we're not savages), but there's no need to rub or bend down. They have a good weight balance from handle to edge and are easy to maneuver over gas pilots. The wooden handles are thick and strong and require screwing onto the pot when first received. Of course they provide TOOLS and screws. I want the grip screw to fit snugly to me (max business card thickness) without a bit of play as I'm wondering if they will loosen and break in one spot. but so far it hasn't happened and i figured i would think if they did i would find the right screw and fix it because these pots are worth it. My wife found her so I'm not sure if she paid for it - but I'll say it-- GREAT VALUE and PLEASURE TO WORK! (The heat resistance rating is not listed below - because they are NOT designed to withstand heat, they are designed to absorb it and they do it well.
