I returned this helmet within hours of receiving it. Then why a 5 star rating? I sent it back due to the size and fit, especially for my head, but wish I couldn't keep it. The shell used is large (marked L on the inside) and with an adjustment knob, it can sit on most heads very well. However, for me, after many attempts to adjust it following the excellent instructions that came with the helmet, it slipped in all directions. NHH has a detailed fitting brochure and very honest instructions if a fit is not secure and the helmet needs to be returned. The reason I decided to write a detailed review is because I was blown away by the excellent workmanship which I wasn't expecting for the $17 I paid at Revain. Compared to much more expensive big brand helmets where the outer plastic shell still remains unattached apart from a few blemishes (making it easy to detach), the NHH helmet had a beautifully fused white outer shell. The helmet is easy to set up with great instructions and the quality of the straps and lining is excellent for a helmet that is even twice the price. I use more expensive road helmets when I ride my road bike, but this is more than enough for the casual rider. who does not count on the race. It's also very light. NHH if you are reading this review you should consider making the exact same helmet in a smaller shell. If it were available now I would buy it! For those using a large (or mid-range in the upper size range) helmet this represents excellent value for money and outperforms the budget 'cheap' helmets from the big brands. names.
