Living in Florida where it is very muggy, my air conditioner works very hard to get all the moisture out of the house. Because of this, anything made of rubber (e.g. elastic straps, rubber bands, canning rings) becomes very brittle and will either fall apart or break. This is exactly what happened to the strap on my Technica turntable. This replacement belt arrived quickly and I installed it the same day. The Technica website has some very helpful guides on how to install parts. My player is working properly again.
