My son had a skateboard very similar to this one but cost twice as much. One day he left it behind my wife's car and as she backed up she ran him over and broke one of the rails. When I looked for replacement chains and wheels, I saw that they cost $30 and up. Then I found this $42.99 skateboard and decided to give it a try instead. After my son used it at skate camp, I'm very glad I did. This skateboard is well made with decent components that work well. The rails were a little loose, which my son liked on the street because they were easy to turn, but they were a little wobbly at the skate park. I adjusted them a bit and now they are perfect. The bottom part looks very nice but after a few days of beating it looks a bit scratched as expected. All in all, a good-looking, well-functioning skateboard costs $10 more than a cheap set of rails and wheels. If you need a skate park skateboard for a kid learning to skate, this is the perfect skateboard.
