Review on SteelSeries Rival 3 Wireless Gaming Mouse - Long-lasting 400+ Hour Battery Life - Dual Wireless 2.4 GHz & Bluetooth 5.0 - 60 Million Clicks - High Precision 18,000 CPI TrueMove Air Optical Sensor (62521) by Mei Zhou ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

I have been using this mouse for 6 months now. During this time, there was not a single example of abnormal operation of the device. Further, all the attention to her regular work. There were a lot of mice, so I compare them with relatively modern ones - Logtech g903 Lightspeed, Razer Mamba Wireless. It is clear that I am a fan of wireless mice. Channel - I don't feel any delays at all (logs and raises don't have them either). The sensors are amazing. In the case of the Rival 650, there are 2 of them and the work of the second one, which is responsible for the lift-off control, is hard to notice under normal conditions, but if you check it on purpose, it reacts instantly. (With sensors, competitors are also in order). The smoothness of moving the cursor is excellent. (A separate plus is the software, it will default the system settings, if any, and also load all the settings if you changed the OS or machine. The logs have not reached this yet, Raiz has appeared, but it is buggy and changes profiles). Backlighting is a separate plus for me. I am a fan of all kinds of backlighting, this mouse has the best (in terms of quality and customization options) on the market now. Separately, I want to note Steelseries Engine 3. In terms of its capabilities, this engine is one of the most powerful among competitors. Cloud storage, stable operation, lots of customization options, presets for popular games (weird, no tanks), low resource consumption (hello LGS). 10 hours of continuous work with backlight is not the most outstanding result. But: the backlight takes up most of the surface of the mouse, bright diodes are used. They wrote about the times when the mouse "lived" for a week. Top solutions have always used the data transmission standard - 2.4 GHz, which is more demanding on the power supply than BT. Turn off the backlight, set up the engine and now it "lives" 20+ (does not reach Logi and Raze), on occasion, it will fully charge in 25 minutes. Now for the cons. The cable is very tight, the solution is magnetic cables with Ali. The quality of the cable is average, no sheathing, no ferrite rings. The weight is always on the "priest".

Pros
  • 1. Very comfortable grip for me (palm larger than average) 2. Suitable for both claw and palm grip 3. Excellent sensors 4. Autonomy / Fast charging 5. Backlight 6. Lightweight 7. Soft
Cons
  • 1. Almost useless 3rd key on the side 2. Weight distribution 3. Tight cable connector (decided, see comment) 4. The cable itself is quite ordinary (see comment)
