No brakes! You could injure yourself. A big pain to find brakes that fit and are expensive!

UPDATED REVIEW: I am updating my review. I'm keeping my original review below, but I've had it for a few weeks now and my opinion has dropped. The shortest version is that they don't come with brakes (which is fairly advertised) but as a newbie I didn't quite understand that they were needed or how expensive it would be to buy them separately or how difficult it would be to to find ones that fit (which I still don't believe). Anyone looking at these shoes is probably trying to save a buck. Well, don't buy these. The actual price for me is over $120 considering I buy the brakes separately and pay for shipping. Also, I tried 2 different "universal" brakes that I found on Revain and neither of them worked. Now I go to a special skating site and they charge $20 each and I hope they fit as well as $20 shipping. It was also a huge pain and waste of time trying to figure it out and find something that would work. I wish the seller would step on the brakes first. I hope to find out soon and start using them. -------------- ---- -------------------------------- - -------------- ---- ------------------------------- -- ------------------ ---- ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've seen some negative reviews (which I think are honest) but my experience so far has been pretty positive ( after just one hour). I will say that I was concerned about being able to resize it, but it actually works very well and I am very happy with this feature. I've also seen some people complain about poor construction and a wheel falling off. So far so good for me (in just one hour). One issue I had was that the plastic "ratchet strap" was too long so the end hit a thick protrusion when trying to tighten it. back and prevent me from tightening it any further. I found a way to move the strap away from the screw so I could tighten it, but ultimately decided to just shorten the strap by cutting it with scissors so I no longer had this problem. Other than that, no complaints from me (so far) and I'm very happy with the ability to resize to share skates with friends (as a spare pair).
