Review on 🐾 Sherpa Crash-Tested Dog Harness - Adjustable, Multi-Purpose & Super Strong with No-Pull D Ring - Easy-to-Use Seatbelt Harness in Black by Jessica Harrison

NOT RECOMMENDED for anything other than transporting a car

My dog slipped while we were waiting on the median with moderate traffic in both directions. Luckily the man waiting at the light honked his horn and pointed to my dog. When I looked at him, he was lying and happily chewing gum sticks. So damn lucky this time. So many 'what ifs'. The harness has been adjusted to a width of two fingers (about 1.5 inches), which is commonly recommended by harness manufacturers and handlers. I won't be able to use this harness for walking next time because I adjusted the straps to a finger width (actually too tight) and watched him walk. Pulled out/pulled out again. Another thing I noticed is that when my dog was on his back, the tip of the VERY hard chest protector was digging into my dog's throat. I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND using this harness except for use in a vehicle when securely attached to the pelvic and shoulder harnesses - the dog has very little room to move to slip out. The inability to get around on your own can be a reason for some not to buy.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Slightly torn
