I threw away more apples than I peeled
It held up pretty well on my countertops and the slicer and core worked great. But it digs so deep into the apple that it loses about the first third of the apple and then pops out to the correct (more or less) depth of the apple and works quite well from there. Blade adjustment was tricky and didn't make much of a difference anyway. I have already received a refund so the service from Revain has been top notch.
