10 year old battery died at the first temperature drop. It wasn't as cold as the -4 degrees Fahrenheit for which the comfort strip was designed. The battery died on Christmas Eve (and the light didn't come on) at around 16 degrees. A week ago I filed a warranty claim with the manufacturer and didn't even get an email confirming my claim. I sent another one tonight and will let you know if things improve. Judging by other complaints about the battery, I'm not hopeful. I received an immediate response that Sensative will replace the sensor and provided a link (same one) to the warranty claim page. This time I had a claim number that seemed to matter. But not a big difference. After two weeks of nothing, I asked for an update, but the request went unanswered. Finally, after another week, I received an email saying a replacement had been shipped and providing a tracking number. When the replacement arrived it was the wrong sensor but it was a door/window sensor. A business card was included in the package. Replacement, so I used it to contact the head of marketing (CEO?). I received a reply the same day that a new Comfort Strip had been sent and I had a tracking number. I was also told to leave the wrong sensor as they made a mistake. Working Comfort Strip arrived shortly, shipped via UPS within 3 days. I don't know when or if I will see weather below 20 degrees this season. When it gets cold enough I'll update it again. I added a star to my review because Sensative solved the problem, albeit in a very clumsy way.
