We have been using this can crusher for 5 years now (since February 2013) and it works great. I looked at several of these types of can crushers before settling on this one and was very pleased with the results. You don't have to waste time aligning it to make sure it's centered or anything since the entire platform moves together. • Cans are automatically ejected after crushing - we placed a trash can under the crusher and each can conveniently automatically falls straight down when we lift the handle to make another can. • Consistent Crushing of Cans - Unlike the results I've had when crushing cans by hand, this crusher produces the same compact crushed product every time, making it easier to manage. after crushing with less sharp open edges. • Low application force - as the design uses leverage efficiently it doesn't take much force to crush each can which is especially nice to know as my parents are not getting any younger and I'm sure you are aging too will never have trouble using it. • It's fast - thanks to the things I mentioned above, it won't take long at all. Everybody can. I can easily produce about a dozen cans per minute with this grinder and could probably produce 15 or more cans per minute if I really put my mind to it. • Excellent customer service - I bought this in June 2010 and was due for a replacement in January 2013. They were polite and helpful and guided me through the whole process. I got my new can crusher in February 2013 and it has been working flawlessly ever since. BUILT TO LAST - We've used it to crush thousands of cans since using it five years ago and it never fails. He didn't cause us any problems. It works just as well today as it did the day we received it. This is all the more impressive given that we installed it outside the home, which admittedly goes against the manufacturer's recommendation (which advises installing it indoors, e.g. in a covered garage). Although it has been exposed to the elements for five years and I suspect this is not what it was designed/intended for, it still works great. Clean the guide rods with petroleum jelly at least once a year, otherwise the guide rods can begin to wear down the slots in the upper platform, which can result in permanent damage to the crusher. It's nothing important; It takes three minutes and I only have to do it once a year. I just have to be careful not to forget, that's all. • Cans can be crushed a little less - this crusher doesn't make them as small as I do by stepping on them, but the result is still there. very compact and the difference does not bother me. In fact, if it really bothered me, I could just put a piece of plywood on the base to elevate each can a little bit during the crushing process, and they'd get crushed a lot more. worth it and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
