This yarn line offers a variety of colors from neutral grays and creams to soft pastels and bright jewel tones. As other reviewers report, the weight/thickness varies within a strand. There are areas very thin, almost threadlike. It belongs to the category of moderate severity (4). Some segments might be, but in general it's different. I find that makes knitting difficult, especially tight. I have crocheted several items. I used a 5.0mm hook. You have to be careful when you have to pluck stitches to correct mistakes. The yarn sticks easily and breaks. Also, the ends tend to fray, so I don't recommend using this yarn for fringes or tassels. The yarn itself forms stripes and the effect is beautiful whether you work in rows or in circles. The piece in the photo is made in the color "Petunia".
