❤️ Unforgettable Red Heart Boutique Yarn in Petunia (3950) Review

Lovely yarn just because the color batches vary VERY - I ordered five skeins and four were brilliant purple/crimson and one was a fairly dull/light plum color. So I'm hoping four strands will be enough for the project I'm using them on. Nice yarn, very soft, in different counts that gives projects a cool texture and variety.

I knit scarves and boas and this yarn has the most beautiful colors. I downgraded the yarn to 'beginner' because it is a bit fuzzy and can vary in thickness. It is also heterogeneous in thickness from strand to strand. I've found that some skeins have thick sections that almost border on worsted weight, while others have a more consistent "DK" throughout. This doesn't bother me for my purposes, but should be considered if it's a problem with another type of knit.

This yarn line offers a variety of colors from neutral grays and creams to soft pastels and bright jewel tones. As other reviewers report, the weight/thickness varies within a strand. There are areas very thin, almost threadlike. It belongs to the category of moderate severity (4). Some segments might be, but in general it's different.
