Rosle apple slicer Advantages: - 100% high quality (18/10) stainless steel. The frame is as smooth as glass and remains hard in use.- Blades are sharp; Cap when not in use to prevent cuts. One reviewer said the cap was too loose, but ours stays on. - The comfortable handle allows you to slice quickly and safely. - The attachment of the blade to the frame looks solid (blades sometimes come from cheaper slicers) - Only the blades make contact with the cutting board. since they are 1/16" below the frame. (See customer pictures.) This is how the core and sections are cut.- There is a ½" hole in the frame for hanging. Diameter, compared to 4.25 inches on some others (e.g. Kitchen Aid). Other: - The core diameter of the cutter is 13/16", about the same as our other cutters. Everything seems fine. - Cuts an apple or pear into 8s Pieces.- Designed and designed in Germany, made in China Review: This was the most expensive apple knife we could find, but we bought it based on Revain's good reviews.We didn't use all of the Marker's apple knives, but I suspect this is the best this is an excellent product.
