Very nice item. Description: The glass of the compass is slightly bevelled, which makes it very beautiful. The back of the compass, on which the inscription is found, appears to be of bronze; It looks like it needs polishing, but I think the idea is to give it an aged look. PS: it has no case; looks the same as in the picture. Functionality: The compass works accurately when placed on a table or on your hand (equivalent to reading my compass app for iPhone); the magnetic needle is a bit wobbly; The compass scale does not move. Packaging: Comes in a very nice big box and the compass is packed more than well; The box contains a compass (in a regular cloth pouch) and a metal stand for the compass.
