These adapters are specifically designed to take an older PC power connector and convert it to work with SATA drives etc. The 4-pin pins were wobbly - a problem I remember from the golden age of tech support, when I had to make my own cables for something this simple - when I originally tried to connect them to additional power supplies. my pc's power supply, but once you put the pins in the holes, the connectors mate snugly and they all work great. I officially have too many hard drives in my poor, wheezing PC now. On the other hand, if I wasn't supposed to use these connectors, then the PSU manufacturer shouldn't have fooled me with them. ;)
