Excellent Quality Mexican Domino Train Set

An excellent set of quality steering knuckles for the Mexican train. I've read many reviews of domino sets that came in a nice aluminum case but quality seemed to be mixed. And while playing with friends at our nearby recreation center, we also saw a lot of poor quality tiles that were hard to read. Then I came across a box of Pressman Mexican Knuckles that only had 14 reviews, but almost all of them were excellent. The price wasn't the cheapest, but it was significantly lower than sets of fancy cases and useless centerpieces. So I ordered them along with two sets of plastic trays for them. Plastic Large Domino Trays/Stands Set of 4 The dominoes themselves are excellent. They are of pleasant quality to the touch, the dots on them are large and even, the colors on them are also even and not smeared in any way. It's really fun to play with them. The box also has a simple flat black plastic sleeve and eight colored move markers along with good instructions; but you need to look for instructions. The stronger outer carton has a thin cardboard insert to hold the dominoes. The instructions are UNDER this flimsy cardboard insert, so you will need to remove the dominoes and remove the insert to find the instructions. It would have been better to put them on top, but that's a minor complaint. The plastic shells, which I bought in the same order, are also very useful and add to the fun of the game, although they seem very expensive for what they are. 8 plastic bowls cost more than dominoes, although both are made in China. The illustration of the trays shows that the dominoes are held vertically, but in this case they are not very stable. With four rows, each tray holds 24 dominoes horizontally, which is plenty, and the slight tilt makes it easy to see all rows. I also find it easier to see the dominoes forming into a train when laid flat on the tray. If price is important, you can look at wooden trays, which are cheaper but heavier. We're used to watching TV together every night, which isn't a very high-quality time. Now we find that with dominoes we can enjoy something that is just as relaxing but leads to a lot more interaction and conversation. Worth the price.
