Speakers are NOT waterproof!

I installed the product on my e-bike and it worked fine. until one day when I got caught in the rain, I started having problems with the sound quality of the speakers. Every time I installed the system, there was a crackling noise. At first I thought it was the 12 volt battery I installed since the AC adapter was dead. So I replaced it with a fully charged battery and the music was still turning on and off due to the crackling. So I decided to run a thorough system check to find out the problem. I checked the amp for shorts or opens, connections etc, then decided to check the speakers. At the same time I heard water in the speaker. I opened up the speakers and they were flooded with water causing distortion/crackling to come out of the speakers, worse it was BOTH speakers! I dried and collected them, now only one is playing! If I plug in/connect another speaker the distortion/crackle comes back so I definitely don't recommend it. THEY SHOULD BE MARINE SPEAKERS instead just a LOSS OF HARD EARNED MONEY!
