I figured I could set the pressure, start it and walk away knowing it will shut off when it's done. Not so - be careful. It will automatically stop pumping air into the tire when it reaches the set pressure, but will continue to work until you turn it off. So I don't see the point. It only takes a few minutes from full to full (it's fast), and you can still turn it off by reading the sensor readings. On the other hand, I was concerned that I would have to connect it directly to the battery to avoid a possible blown fuse. If it had been, it would have been sent back. Filled 4 tires on a full size car from 10,18,18, 25psi to 35psi with no problems. Doesn't overheat the device, except you have to be careful with the screws at the top. You blush.
