Review on Convenient and Versatile Folding Pet Ramp: 🐾 PetSTEP Original – Ideal for Pets of All Sizes by Renee Foreman

We were teaching our lab dog to swim and needed a ramp to get him out of the pool. We built a wooden ramp which was fine but we had trouble fastening it to keep it stable. THIS RAMP IS AWESOME! As directed in the instructions, we first put him on the floor and used a treat to get the pup to lie on him. After she comfortably walked it back and forth for 5 minutes, we put it in the pool and she immediately walked up like she's been using it for years! It doesn't float in water, which is very good. Just make sure no air gets underneath it when you put it in the water. It has nice big rubber steps that grip and protect the bottom of the ramp and the same but larger stepped knobs at the top of the ramp. Also has excellent rubber traction grips on the ramp. Really excellent quality ramp, everything has been thought of. My only concern is that the ramp folds in half for storage and there is no way to lock it straight. When my pup walks up the ramp he sometimes moves a little (depending on his energy level) and I'm concerned that he might pinch or pinch her finger. My husband figured out how to fix this and just clipped 2 staples from a hardware store to the frame just behind where it folds right and bottom left. Problem solved. Hopefully PetStep can add a little blocking mechanism for pool use as they encourage it for pool use. This ramp is THE BEST, we LOVE it. Buy it, you won't regret it!
