I was a little hesitant to buy a cheap knife but I'm glad I did. It came out of the box very sharp and passed the paper cutting test with ease. I'm not a professional chef and that's pretty handy. The hole provides a secure grip when a reasonable amount of force is applied. I really like using it in the kitchen. The sheath looks cheap, but then again, this is a cheap knife. Protects the blade and carrier from accidental cuts. In general, the purchase is satisfied. Many Thanks.
