1. As others have said, there is a Trojan horse file on the CD; my BitDefender stopped it cold.2. Once you watch a few YouTube videos on how to download the software, everything works very well. I downloaded this onto a 12 year old laptop that has no network access just in case the trojan tries to break free. 3. Windows 7 works best, fewer compatibility issues, and I ran it in Win 98 compatibility mode just to be sure.4. I had a strange situation, my key was ok, just wouldn't start the car, 2004 X5 3.0 E53, everything turned on and lit except the starter. After some confusion, I simply "rewrote" the key to its original position/number. In my case the key is number 4. I got the message "recording successful", ran to the car, plugged in the EWS module and the car started immediately. I've been driving a car with a reprogrammed key for 2 weeks, no problems.5. A ton saved! money with this product. The dealer wanted $380 for a new key, the local locksmith wanted $250. I almost went to a local locksmith but decided to give it a try, I'm so glad I did. I would recommend this product but be prepared to play around with it; Make sure you download it on your old laptop/desktop so you don't get infected with the Chi Virus. No need to download software for other websites, no internet connection is required. The software on the CD is the latest version, no "upgrades" are required.
