PROS - They work great. I like to use them when applying watercolor paintings onto a 16" x 20" white mat with a foam backing. This protects them and keeps my pictures beautiful. I either put the foam back in first, making sure to line up the end of the pad with the opening of this clear envelope. I then place the watercolor painting (usually on Arches 140lb cold pressed 11" x 15" watercolor paper) taped back to a 16" x 20" white mat with beveled edges. I then seal the back flap with a few pieces of tape so I can open it again and take out the painting if I want to take another picture of the painting or show it for a class workshop I lead. It protects my images from anything that might get on them. It makes my pictures look new and shiny. CONS - They can easily rip or tear if you are not careful with the paint and backing when applying this paint.
