Review on 🌈 DUOFIRE Stained Glass Window Film: Privacy Film, Decorative Coverings - Static Cling, No Glue - D95011 (11.8in. x 78.7in.) 30cm x 200cm by Michael Paquette

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beautiful color of a sea wave on "Green ".

I have enough experience installing window film. I've been using it in my last two homes for almost 20 years. I wanted this for my master bedroom/bathroom with 5 windows. This area is colorized by Ben Moore named Tropicana Cabana for reference. I saw another reader call it "turquoise" and was hoping for a turquoise color. It fits together perfectly. Since all of the trim and plumbing in my bathroom is white, I also love the white areas and it really looks like it was custom made for me. I tried it against "green" colors and it might work for them too. Ideal for bathrooms and bedrooms, this film allows light through white/matte surfaces while blocking outside views. We checked and you can't see through this movie day or night. This film was just as easy to install on my approximately 25" x 22 1/2" windows with no help. It would be remiss if I didn't pay attention to a few things. Be very careful when opening the roll yourself. It was very tightly wrapped in cellophane with the maker's tag and the Revain tag. Cellophane is wound up with the first turn of the roll. It was extremely difficult to open and ended up with a small 1 1/2 inch tear along the top edge. I just cut it off to make a new straight edge. This was ultimately a mistake on my part as it has changed. 2. There was also a "QC Pass” sticky label on the vinyl roll. It was so sticky that I had to take alcohol and clean it before using it. I don't think such a sticky label should be used on a vinyl roll. Also, you don't need to clean anything before use as long as it's new. 3. Until I finished my first window, I didn't realize it had a specific pattern (aqua, white, aqua, white, aqua, aqua). ) Since all of my windows are in front of each other, I didn't want them to be uneven. Maybe due to my window sizes it could have turned out better if I didn't have to cut off the first 2 inches where I had a gap. Anyway when ordering this large roll I figured I would be enough for all 5 windows. I ended up having to piece my final window together using three recycled side strips. I have to re-order the entire roll to compensate.4. There are a few places where the black false border surrounds the central square where the black is smudged. This is not a big problem for me as no one but my husband and I will see them up close. However, I would have to make a tee at a more conspicuous place. None of this would stop me from ordering from Duofire again. I think this is a high quality vinyl and very easy to measure, cut and install. I just felt they deserved attention.
