I have two sets of vise pads, one aluminum faced and one rubber faced (like the ones in the picture). They are well made and look meaty. The various V-grooves in the aluminum bezel kit work well to hold the small, round shank in place. The rubber surface of the other set is a good balance between too soft and too hard. The reason I gave them 4 stars over 5 is because of the magnets that hold them to the vise jaws. The magnets just aren't strong enough. They hold in place by themselves, but it doesn't take much force to knock the cheek covers off. If Yost had used rare earth magnets it would have cost a few bucks more.
