Review on ๐Ÿ”ง GEARWRENCH 1/2-Inch Drive 120XP Micrometer Torque Wrench, 30-250 ft/lbs - Model 85181 by Rusty Smith

Calibration was disabled, had to be returned

This is a nice looking micrometric torque wrench. Nice colors and stitching. A 120xp drive with a 3ยฐ elbow that doesn't require a torque wrench can be surprisingly useful. The case that comes with it is good and there is a printout of the factory calibration tests. After using it several times a day, he "felt" the lack of calibration. I tested the torque wrench with two high precision digital torque adapters and the torque values obtained were lower than specification over the entire range. Also, the testimony was not consistent and was scattered everywhere. If the readings are not up to standard but are stable, I would consider calibrating myself. Unfortunately I decided to return it. I didn't want a replacement as it was my last straw with spring loaded hand torque wrenches. I've switched to separate beams until now until they enrage me. Ultimately, a digital torque wrench may be the most accurate and reliable, albeit expensive. However, I prefer to feel the click than look at the LEDs and hear the beeps. Also, like the gear wrench ratchets I've bought, there were some quality control issues. There were quite a few small scratches, fingerprints and grease.
