I installed 2 of these amps with a Clarion 309 head unit. So far I'm only using 1500 of the available 2000 watts and I'm using 5 pairs of 6.5 speakers and 2 10" subwoofers. The sound is incredible! I chose to mount the amps outdoors rather than hiding them in a box due to their high quality finish in the form of LED output indicators. The installation guide could be a bit clearer when it comes to hooking up different types of speakers differently, and they could give a little more detail on the audio output settings, but google filled in the blanks for me! I researched many different marine amps and they had all the performance I was looking for with good looks and a reasonable price. It performs even better than I expected - GREAT value
