I have had this product for over a week now and it has left a lasting impression on me. Many other DJs around town have an On Stage laptop stand very similar to the model I bought. In comparison, this stand feels much heavier and more solid, like I could leave my 17 inch laptop on it. Another notable difference is the bar that holds your laptop in place. Hold a thicker laptop while "On Stage" models have a much shorter lip and no padding. The "oddysey" feature is visible in the picture where the legs meet the base - this stand allows you to move the stand around. for additional equipment such as turntables, CD, mixer, travel case, etc. Brilliant design - I wouldn't need a wider table to use this stand There was more than enough equipment in the box for each configuration advertised, clamps to attach the stand to a table or to my suitcases, plus extra padding for wear and tear. Assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. However, I think anyone 13+ should have no trouble building. I've seen some users reverse the top of the stand for larger laptops - although my 17" laptop works great with the stand mounted as you see in the picture.
