Bought this heater 4 months ago and was initially impressed. Over time, the fan would spin slower and slower until I became concerned about the fire hazard. I took it apart to see what was going on. It was no small feat as I had to dig out my set of wrench security bits to remove 2 of the 4 screws holding the front and rear plastic cases together. The cooler block is NOT CERAMIC BUT ALUMINUM! It was clogged with dust and could not be cleaned or vacuumed without being removed from the plastic case. I only use the heater in the morning and evening in the bathroom, on the way to work and to get ready for bed. In my opinion, the grille on the back of the unit where air is drawn in needs a filter. The dust that had accumulated in the heater was normal household dust. After I cleaned and reassembled it didn't turn back on even though I didn't touch the electronics or wiring. In our other bathroom I use a DeLongi heater that I bought in 2003 and it still works. This little Lasko heater was thrown to the wind and it's too late to return it. Oh yeah, it doesn't have any safety features either - it won't turn off if it falls or rises. Another electronic device is taken to the landfill. Very sad.
