Review on Extra Yarn Mac Barnett Audiobook by Nicole Mcleod

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A subtle analogy of unconditional love?

I love this book! I found one in the library while collecting books to work with underprivileged kids downtown. In this book, a girl finds a box of yarn. She discovers that the yarn is enough to cover and protect not only herself but everyone around her. No matter how much it shares, it never dries up. That will never be taken from her. I love using this book to teach children that when God's unconditional love is given to someone, there is always enough. The more we share it, the more we discover what has been given to us. Nobody can steal this love. The illustrations are fantastic as always with this illustrator. I love how the scenes on each page slowly change from dark and somber to colorful and fun as the story progresses.
