Review on 🔌 Amprobe AM-530 True-RMS Electrical Contractor Multimeter with Non-Contact Voltage Detection and Temperature Measurement by Russ Conrad

This probe is perfect for those like me who are too cheap to buy random probes. I wish it had a higher capacity range but for the money this is a really good tool. However, if I were a manufacturer I would use a metal cover in the posts that hold the bottom two screws on the back that allow access to the fuses. The upper screw (battery replacement) is screwed into the metal. It would be nice if the others would do the same. I really have no other complaints. Otherwise it's well made, the selector feels solid and works quite well. Oh, and I suppose I would have preferred to cut off the test leads at the ends. For example, if you want to replace the leads on a push pin, you will need to disconnect the wires from the main body. This causes excessive wear on the device. It's better that this wear and tear occurs at the ends of the test leads and not on the device itself. Despite all that, it still gets 5 stars for features and quality at this price point.
