Review on πŸ”’ Enhanced Security with AP Products 013-531 Electric Motor Home Lock: Your Ultimate Locking Solution by Lild Zimmerly

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice strong lock.

To fit an old '94 Thor 30' MH as a replacement for a totally worn out original set 1 - Remove the old lock set and measure the hole. This block has very little tolerance. The old hole was square, the new lock is rounded, so extra caulking was needed at the corners. 2 - The locking plate of this device needs to be replaced. I literally had to cut the old one out of the frame and weld the new seat on before installing the new striker plate.3 - Make sure you have enough space for the striker pins and that they are aligned when installing the lock. Be aware that the RV's chassis will sag and the latch may bind. 4 is a typical right-hinged door. Back button to lock (turn clockwise to lock, counterclockwise to unlock). 5-4 number keys and enter the key. Just installing the code is enough. To reset, you must remove the batteries, reinsert them, and reset the code. 6 - Touch keys do not work with gloves unless they are capacitive. Overall a decent/reliable device. If you're not handy, installation can be a problem.
