Review on Ryobi 089110109712 Replacement Switch Assembly by Neil Biondo

I was photographing and testing my Craftsman 10-inch Professional Portable Table Saw, Model #315.218290, preparing to sell when the power switch on it failed. (It stayed on., looked for about 14 years) Went to Sears PartsDirect.com and after clicking on the appropriate parts diagram I was told that none of the parts were available. Went to Amazon looking for a table saw switch and this was the second result. Reasonable price, fast delivery. Removed the old switch and. oh, the holes for the mounting screws don't match. I sat and looked at the back of this new switch and noticed 3 small protrusions. I took out a screwdriver and after a few minutes, removed the back of the case. By depressing the 2 spring clips/latches holding the bezel to the switch body, I was able to pry the switch out of the bezel. Moda did the same procedure and got the same results. Put a new Ryobi switch housing in an old Craftsman switch housing and it fit perfectly! problems. The saw now works great with a very positive click and noise when turning on and off. * The saw has been sold, so please do not ask.
