These napkins look very pretty all folded up and new, but for me they have two problems. First, they're very, very big; I would never use them with guests because they're more like a towel than a table napkin. (I should have paid more attention to the 20" x 20" dimensions in the description.) Secondly, and more important, the check pattern is PRINTED on the fabric, not woven in as one would expect with gingham. So the napkins have a pretty "right" side and a plain white "wrong" side, which is just tacky. I've already washed one to see if it would soften; otherwise I'd return them.
